damn snow
i just thought i was going to okc today. everything was going good until i slowed down to make sure no one was coming from either side, that's when the trouble started. in other words "i ain't goin nowhere". now i have no excuse not to work on those pesky miters. damnit!!!
Been surfing through quilt blogs on laundry days (in between huge piles) hoping to connect with someone who enjoys our fine craft--a little fellowship as it were. Someone with your sense of humor namely, foregoing the sicky sweetness of so many quilters--not that you aren't sweet, but you know what I mean. I only know one person who quilts and she is in Canada.
Anyway, I was disappointed to see that you didn't have an e-mail add to write to. Hope this suffices for a quick shout-out. Love your quilting and writing personality and have read through quite a lot of your blog. I appreciate how it isn't full of commercialism and cutesy crap and the same quilts everyone else is making with the same fabrics-- UGH! Cheeky quotes caught my eye, too. Here! Here!
I knew there had to be one other irreverent, outspoken woman out there loving quilting. Come visit me if you'd like. My blogs are: whererickraps.blogspot.com (lots of chat) and dooptydodancingquilts.blogspot.com. Doopty-Do is new and just for my quilting.
INDEED, TO HELL WITH HOUSEWORK!!!
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely, Ricky Kreis (rick)
It is weird reaching out to a quilting stranger but I hope you will be "fearless" and write to me at lordbaltimore@hotmail.com as my comments at my blog won't work this week-go figure?
i am a wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and loyal friend to a few. i live for my family. nothing else comes first. i am outspoken and not very politically correct.

my one and only hobby is quilting. i love it and anything related to it. my hope is when i am long gone that my quilts will still be with my family. i hope they wrap themselves in the quilts and use them often. i don’t want them put up for safe keeping. i want them used and loved. i hope they think of me when they use the quilts. i want to be remembered for my love of family, my quilts, and the fact that i never put house work before either of them.
Greetings, Carol!
