another successful rust
i loved the way this piece of fabric turned out. i wrapped it around a iron rod and then scrunched it then wrapped rusted wire around it, wrapped it in saran wrap and let it bake in the sun for 4 days. there are all kinds of feather patterns in this piece. can't wait to do another one.

Anyone can do anything; one step at a time!
Wow that is so great! I will definately try this and see what happens. Now to find a barn with an iron rod in it....
ReplyDeleteI am just in awe! I've been thingin about rust and fabric and I had no idea where to start. Your email to quiltart is the best tutorial I have seen on the subject! Come summer I'll give it a go. Too cold here right now - 2C over night and 10C tomorrow and snow showers. I think the sun could be missing in the rust and fabric mariage!

ooooh, it's lovely! I've been searching for rusty stuff to try this, but with no success. I may need to move to the country and get a barn :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'd love to wear it! LOL!
